REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative(-) battery terminal to disable SRS system.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: INITIALIZATION (2008 Sequoia)

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 3UR-FE LUBRICATION: OIL AND OIL FILTER: REPLACEMENT (2008 Sequoia)+

3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 3UR-FE COOLING: COOLANT: REPLACEMENT (2008 Sequoia)+

4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 3UR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: INTAKE MANIFOLD: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

5. REMOVE INLET RADIATOR HOSE 3UR-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

6. DISCONNECT OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE 3UR-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

7. REMOVE FAN SHROUD (w/ Trailer Towing System) 3UR-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

8. REMOVE FAN SHROUD (w/o Trailer Towing System) 3UR-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH 3UR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST MANIFOLD: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia)+

10. DISCONNECT VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY



(a) Disconnect the clamp and 2 power steering connectors.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the vane pump.

11. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the generator connector.

(b) Remove the terminal cap and nut, and disconnect the generator wire.

(c) Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness bracket from the generator.

(d) Remove the 3 bolts, nut and generator.
